Plain-English guides so you know what you are looking at, and what to ask, before anyone climbs on the roof.
We recommend an annual chimney safety inspection, with sweeping as needed. Our inspections are based on St. Louis City and County and St. Charles City and County currently adopted municipal code. An annual inspection ensures your chimney is structurally sound and free of creosote buildup, which is the leading cause of chimney fires. If you use your fireplace regularly, scheduling a cleaning before each heating season is ideal.
NADCA recommends cleaning when an inspection shows the ducts are contaminated, and the EPA suggests cleaning when there is visible mold growth, pests, or excessive dust and debris. Homes with pets, allergies, or recent renovations often benefit most. Signs your ducts need attention include visible dust around vents, musty odors, or increased allergy symptoms.
Our truck-mounted vacuum is used for air duct cleaning and commercial dryer and exhaust vent cleaning. It pulls dust and debris out of the system and straight to the truck outside, so nothing is recirculated through your home or building.
